“VEGANUARY” – For those who REALLY want to make a difference.

If you’ve read my Welcome… page, you’d know that transitioning to veganism was not an easy lifestyle change for me. At the risk of sounding dramatic, I really was a bit lost to begin with. If it wasn’t for stumbling upon Veganuary, I might have given up far more easily.

What the hell is Veganuary?

Veganuary is an initiative that aims to reduce the suffering of animals by INSPIRING and SUPPORTING people across the globe to go vegan for the month of January. It’s that simple.

When I first encountered their website, I was definitely INSPIRED in the kitchen to make my own vegan chow. I still count them as my number one SUPPORT for all things vegan when it comes to cooking, baking and surprising other people with incredible vegan food.

So start here to sign up – for free, to receive email support from them.

Why do I love their website so much?

I’m the kind of person who doesn’t mind following through on something if I am given specific instructions on how to go about things and Veganuary provided that. I remember being relieved to find a whole list of vegan eating plans, that provided weekly menus linked to incredible recipes that took all the guess work out of having to decide what to eat. Strangely, they are tricky to find on the website, so I am sharing each of them here with you:

How bloody incredible are these menus?!

Now it’s your turn to do something small to make a difference:

PLEASE MAKE A DIFFERENCE by replacing your current profile pic on Facebook with one of their designs. This is something so small and insignificant you can do to show that you can be part of presenting a united front for the rest of the year to the end of January. Imagine if every vegan on Facebook does this – PEOPLE WILL NOTICE! You don’t need to march in a rally or paint a banner – you can do this right now from the comfort of your own home.

Here is a link to pics to replace your Facebook profile and cover pics, i.e. a “banner” image.

You can also find their info on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram if you want to share more information with friends, family or colleagues.

Let’s show people that a vegan lifestyle can be REALISTIC, MANAGEABLE and ACHIEVABLE.

Help spread the word and support this incredible global initiative and if you have done so (by changing your profile pic), let me know in the comments section below. I’d love to hear from you all. If you’ve never encountered their website and the fantastic recipes they have to offer, then let me know what you think of those too.

I am one small voice, but together you and I can make a bit more noise.

Profile picture updated! No doubt some of my non-vegan family will not be impressed, but if only one person takes a look and starts to think about where their animal-based food comes from, it will have been worth it.

    • Veganuary was one of my saving graces, and the rest I had to navigate on my ace. In the end (through trial and error) I had collected a wealth of information and decided it was important I shared it. In trying to compile it (in this website) I realised there were so many more options out there than I had realised! So this website is almost “phase 2” of my journey. I have definitely fallen in love with food again along the way, and have met the most incredible people since starting it. Let me know how your transition to veganism goes, and shout if there is anything I can do to help. xx
