Open 7 days a week, Ohana Café in Kalk Bay claim to have the best coffee, breakfast, salads, wraps and baked goods and more in the area. What’s more is they have dared you to try it out for yourself!
Address: 57 Main Rd, Kalk Bay
Hours: 8am-3pm Mon-Sun
According to Ohana Café’s online menu, they have freshly pressed juices, kombucha, a homemade falafel, roasted butternut & hummus wrap (R58) as well as “vegan toast” (which is their breakfast option for R55). The toast comes with mushrooms, wilted spinach, tomatoes and hummus.
More recently there has been mention of an organic spinach, mushroom and chilli soup as well as some sinfully delicious croissants (plain and almond for R24) on a few vegan Facebook groups. They charge an extra R8 for jam which is a little pricey – but maybe it’s “special” jam?
Extra almond milk is R7 – which is the going rate when wanting a plant-based milk for your coffee or tea.
I’m definitely keen to try it out at some point. Let me know in the comments below if you have.
Peace xx
