Rather than fawning over how fantastic the food was (cos it was) and how great the Just Egg is (cos it is), I am going to skip ahead to three significant bits of information that came out of the event (along with the foodie pics).
I have to give credit to Michelle, Neil, Caitlin and the rest of the phenomenal team at Infinite Foods for the work that they are doing.
There are HUGE pieces of news to share:
Firstly, the Beyond Meat Breakfast Sausage Plant-Based Patties arrived in SA! We were the first group to taste them, and they were SUPERB!
Secondly, the Just Egg Liquid Scramble is coming to SA shores early next year. That’s huge.
Thirdly, and even more ground-breaking, is that after three years of negotiations, Just Egg is setting up a PRODUCTION FACILITY in Cape Town. All thanks to the tireless work of Infinite Foods.
So yes, was the Just Egg launch a great success: absolutely. Was the food by chefs Bulelwa and Judith outstanding: you bet. But I have a sneaky suspicion that we were invited to be the first to hear about (and share) the rest of this exciting news.
