Something extraordinary is happening down at the Radisson Red’s Oui Bar in the Silo District on Christmas Day! They have decided to host an ENTIRELY PLANT-BASED festive lunch in their restaurant – and tickets are flying!!!
I had the privilege of experiencing what they have in mind at a pre-event tasting last week, and let me tell you, it is going to be excellent!

Here is what you can expect:
The food was outstanding, centering around a Wellington Ala Vegan with a variety of vegetable dishes to accompany it.
It is clear that a lot of thought and attention has gone into creating this menu to make it a stand out experience. Not a single dish was ‘Meh’.
You won’t find any meat or dairy on the premises as they spend the day of the 24th clearing their kitchen of all animal-based products to prepare the space for pure plant-based goodness!
Just remember to pace yourself for the dessert table:
My only regret is that we’ve already booked to go away so we won’t be able to experience it again on the 25th of December.

Regardless of if you celebrate Christmas of not, you would be doing yourself out of a delicious feast by not going. And at R400 per person, it is well worth it!
